Question : What is the best cell phone service for international travel?
We live in the U.S. and have a family plan (three phones on our service). We need about 800 minutes per month (U.S.); but travel internationally several times per year and would like a phone that works internationally.
We have friends that we visit overseas and some occasions to work overseas. For example, over Christmas we were lost in Germany trying to find out friend’s home. It would have been worth a lot to have been able to call them from our car for a few minutes and get directions…so, the cost of the international roaming isn’t the biggest concern. We wouldn’t be using it that often; but when we needed it, we would want it to be reliable. We travel worldwide – so a plan with the most coverage (Europe, Asia) would be best.
We also want a reasonable rate on our family plan, since this is really what we use the most. Thoughts?

i also travel internationally Asia .Italy Russia i have t mobile works great bit expensive but never once did it fail me i also use it for Internet your family plan is only for stateside use does not apply to international use

What’s the amperage? 2 amps takes about 10 hours, which is what I would guess the power output of your charger is.

I’m taking a trip overseas without a laptop/computer and want a way to back-up my photos in the evening. Just in case anything happens to my camera, SD card, etc. I’m bringing multiple SD cards, but want another copy of the picture as backup. How can I transfer pictures from my camera or my SD card to a flash drive or some other external drive system WITHOUT using a computer? I’m leaving the laptop at home and won’t have time to go to an internet cafe, so I need something portable and, hopefully, cheap.

I love photograph like many others and have travelled extensively. Most of my photos are scenic or people shots from abroad. I have never done anything with my photos, not even photoshop them. I would like to think I could make a bit of cash from them, if possible. Can anybody tell me what the realities of this are, what sites they have had success with for photos alone and where you might submit photos and travel articles together and get paid to do so?

There’s tons of places to sell your photos online. A quick Google search for stock photos will reveal many of the typical sites that people will often sell too. Most of these sites tend to take a large part of the money that you make off of every photo. Try a smaller site like gonogging.com which is a free registration and lets you put up as many pictures as you like, only charging a small service fee for doing so. Good luck selling!
