Question : What kind of splitter do I need to get PIP to work on our LCD flat screen TV?
We just got a new Samsung LCD flat screen that has PIP capability. We couldn’t get it to work so I called their tech support. They told me I needed to get a splitter and to get it at radio shack. I would rather get it on Ebay, but I need to know exactly what its called so I can search for it. Can someone please help me out. Thanks!!

So was the answer on the same question you got yesterday not acceptable to you? (which is too bad as it was the correct answer)
The first issue here is you have failed to provide enough information for anyone to give you a complete answer. We need to know where your TV signal is currently coming from and how it is connected to the TV.
PIP will work in every TV with that capability if and only if you have a connection to the coaxial antenna input plus a connection to one of the TVs AV inputs. Some models may have additional capabilities beyond this, but again, other than telling us your TV is a Samsung LCD, you have not even given us a model number.

I miscalculated and my cable is short by 2 feet for hooking up my satellite. I have an extra 2 feet from before and a splitter lying around. Can I just use the splitter as a source to connect both pieces of cable so I get the proper length or would it effect my picture quality. I don’t feel like buying another 20 ft cable.

So your better concept would be to simply buy a coupling connector, probably around $ 1 – $ 2, if that much. That way, you only have the minute losses of the connection, same as the splitter connections, without the major division of power being transferred.
When connecting the coupler, make sure the connection is tight. You don’t need 50 ft-lbs or torque, but you do want it tight enough that water from the rain doesn’t seep in through the threads and degrade the connection.

Question : Need a splitter for recording cell phone conversations?
I’m looking for a splitter cable or device so that I can record conversations over my cell phone onto a digital voice recorder.
Input would be a 2.5mm male connection, two outputs, one 3.5mm male plug for the recorder, and one 2.5mm female jack for the headset.
I have seen them on ebay, but at $ 20 the price is a bit steep for just a few connectors and some wire. Anyone know where I can find something like that cheaper?
Unfortunately, Radio Shack no longer sells this particular device. Not sure why.
