SLR digital consumer camera, one of the best low (er)-end market began my journey with DSLRs in 2003 with the original digital rebel. AFN has changed my photography for the better like nothing else. Five years and some 25,000 shots later, it is still going strong. Along the way, my Canon 30D, which is a fantastic camera and update. If the 40D was announced, I decided to wait until the 50D in the course of 2009, but wanted a new backup / second body for my photography needs. So if XSi/450D was announced, he looked like a perfect fit for my needs. I got it from Amazon. com, three days ago, and they have a very good workout since then, having shot about 650 shots under a variety of shooting conditions and a number of Canon lenses and third. What follows are my impressions. The construction feels very good. The camera feels wonderfully light yet well built. I am 6ft tall with average size hands, and the camera in my hand feels good. The handle is for me defeating a small lightweight digital SLR if I opted for a Hakuba / Opteka grip (it’s a plate that screws into the tripod socket that allows you to strap the excellent Canon E1 hand to use) and I could not be happier. I’m not a fan of neck straps, so that works well for me (see photo uploaded for configuration). Most of the menu buttons on the back feeling different from the original Digital Rebel and 30D, the keys xsi tactility and a “click” for when you press it. The only exception are the Exposure Lock (*) and AF selector buttons, which have retained the deeper, softer cameras earlier. Just different, not better or worse for me. The LCD is now 3 “with 230K pixels. Playback pictures look good, and probably because of the higher resolution sensor, there is a very small delay when you zoom to 10x while the image is loaded and displayed properly. People of other devices or marks may not even notice – I only did so because of the difference between him and my two other Canon DSLRs (the low-resolution sensors). The viewing angle LCD screen (how clearly you can see the screen on one side and top to bottom) is excellent, you can still see the screen holding the camera almost straight from a Plan dive (more on that later.) I believe the angle is about 160-170 degrees horizontally and vertically. The Digital Rebel has a separate status screen above the main LCD screen and the 30D is one on the top of the camera, so I do not know if I went to that big LCD screen repair and no top screen only. I am happy to say that system works well, at least for me. The rear is really easy to take all the parameters at a glance. The viewfinder is much bigger and brighter than the Digital Rebel. A hugely welcome feature for me is always the displayed value of the ISO in the viewfinder. The camera is only half the equation of image quality, the other lens is inserted. Coupled with my favorite lens, the objective Canon EF 70-200mm f / 4 L telephoto lens, rotates images xsi fantastic. The supplied kit lens is very light and compact for an optical image stabilizer, and is a good performance. It’s certainly very useful . Two features that are missing from the Digital Rebels and found to be used in more expensive digital SLRs are now in the xsi star of the day: spot metering and flash exposure compensation (can be found in the previous Digital Rebel model, the XTi, and disposition). Inclusion of these two features make the device much more complete and compelling photographic tool. Timer function is now a custom mode, it would be expected in the next 10 seconds, then take a series of shots (specified by you) in succession. No more running back and forth to reset the meter after each shot, there is also the timer traditional two seconds. Let’s for a minute about the sensor and ISO sensitivity. XSi/450D about five ISO values you can choose: 100 (best film), 200, 400, 800 and 1600. higher the ISO the camera sensor to light increased, so that you can access quickly closing time speeed certain lighting conditions. But the trade off, the sensor “noise” (a particle think for film photography) increases with higher ISO, so you are a degraded image quality in return for less blurring from hand shakes (thanks to faster shutter speed). However, from point-and-shoot digital cameras, ie more sensors of digital SLRs, including XSI, that even at ISO 800 and 1600 you get a very usable right out of the camera. I have over 500 + recordings on a single charge and the status monitor displays always at full load. I’m with Transcend 8GB Class 6 SDHC card. great camera, amazing battery life, now is the perfect price! Xsi I was for about three months now and I am impressed by the substance. I took over 5000 pictures and I had to charge the battery twice. Live View – LiveView is not for beginners. There is no substitute for your point-and-shoot. You can not enter the AUTO mode (green square). It is not that much to me, I prefer full manual myself, but the whole point of this feature, I thought it was more convenient for photographers Point-and-shoot. My wife can not use Live View in its current form (I specifically bought a DSLR with Live View function, so they can go with the camera). So, if Live View is a big plus for you, you can see a few others (if it is not that big deal for you, then this is another incredible camera added – 23/04/2008). If you work in the studio, but you can connect the device to your PC and use it as a remote viewer. But this is not a point-and-shoot camera in Live View mode. Studio and landscape photographers will find Live View a great tool. Picture quality – I have had great success in a studio shooting and creating great pictures outdoors. In the studio, I have “hot” with tungsten lights subjuect on a white background. The pictures turned out great. Skin tones are perfect and there is very little, if any, chromatic aberration on the edges. It takes great outdoor portraits. We just beekeeping and I could get some amazing images of our bees close to the open air. The bees looked dirty and not very interesting from a distance, but the macro photos I was in the area are beautiful and full of juicy details to perfection. The lens is a bit too short, the picture quality you draw is very good because it only costs $ 100. I plan to buy more than one goal in the near future. Overall, the unit is solid and comfortable in the hand nicely. It is not too hard, but feels solid. If you can afford the higher price, I do not think you’ll be disappointed. If you can not, the XTi is still a great camera. And if you can afford to wait several months for the price a bit (as is already falling! Dignity) I. WOW What great pictures. The camera is connected properly with the flash and I am more than ever that the quality of your photos very confident coming out of the glass you use and not so much by the device itself (I think that is about 65 % to 35% of the camera lens to give or take a few points – I know there are those who disagree, but my take on it, and I’m sure if I have a 1Ds MKIII, I think that it is not a piece of glass My camera was enough). This is a great beginner digital SLR camera and a great all around. I am very happy with my purchase and I regret nothing at all to spend the $ 900 necessary to buy a great tool. Wonderful camera! This camera is impossible to beat at this price. I will not write a review, but can this unit in the fully automatic mode and give it to a “point and shoot” person, and they will achieve excellent results. We buy it again in a heartbeat, and I wish I could get one for all I know! Best picture I’ve ever done and fun to use! Connecting to the computer and downloading photos takes a few seconds. Get the largest SD card you can afford. . . We have a 2 GB card and it fills very quickly. 1GB is too small for this camera (is mainly because you take too many pictures with him, not because the images take a lot of memory), 4GB I suppose to be perfect (or secure a couple of Cards 2 GB, 4 GB, but one is, the cards are easy to install).
