Question : Are there any apps to connect a pocket pc’s GPS to a PC?
I was wondering if there were any apps that would allow me to tether my pocket pc GPS to my PC? I’d like to use my GPS to power a mapping app of some kind. My PDA has both Bluetooth, a direct cable and Wi-Fi. Anyone know of any apps that can do this?

So im paying 222 for 35 months and i have the car for 3 years. is this a good deal? i chose to lease because i cannot afford a down payment for a car loan and while i have a decent credit score (692) i wont be able to get a car loan because i dont make enough to afford car payments.Im a college student. entering my third year. I only drive 3 miles to class each day. And the car i used to own i must have put in 5k over the course of the past 3 years. So did a get a good price on the lease. im only paying 222 for 35 months, that is it. no down payment as i stated before. If it matters i live in Albany NY. this zero down payment thing is part of the honda clearance going on until sept 7th. my car i usually use has been acting up the past few days so i dont want to have to put another 500 in it.
until Americans can make a decent car, i dont intend to buy one anytime soon. deal with it.
it does include tax title and everything except insurance which i pay seperately through state farm. and i have been driving a white 97 malibu for three years. no, i wouldnt be satisfied with a 94

Question : Do any Jehovah’s Witnesses have any good pocket pc software for keeping service records?
I just bought a Samsung I730 from Verizon Wireless and thought it was a great opportunity for me to keep service records on my cell phone/ pocket pc since I always have my phone I will never leave my RV book at home again. So if you have any good programs please send me a link or let me know. Personally I would like to put my calls in some sort of order so if you have any ideas on the best way to catagorize my calls (for exp. by date, street name, or region of territory) let me know. Let me know how you do it. Thanks a lot.

I’m sure there are a few programs out there which do – but i’ve a diferent solution/approach for you, which will fit to your needs a lot more;
your phone has Pocket Excel built-in, you could use your desktop PC’s EXCEL or spread-sheet program and design your own record-keeping list. This way you can add and modify it in whichever YOU desire to.
Matter of fact those programs you mentioned, arent any different, they’re just EXCEL-/spreadsheet-like programs with fixed/pre-determined lists/features.
and throwing together a list this way isnt very difficult, even for a “non-geek”

I was on EBAY.com, looking for a digital recorder. The price difference between a digital voice/phone recorder and a digital voice recoder is enormous! I was wondering, is it possible to recorded directly from a CD player to my pocket pc (DELL AXIM X5)? do I need a special cord? What is the cord called?

Question : How do I make my internet-capable pocket PC phone act as a modem for my PC?
I have a cingular 8525 pocket PC phone which has G3 internet access, how do I make it so my computer uses the internet source from my phone as a way to access the internet? (I can avoid using bandwith at work)

First, plug the phone into your computer using an USB data cable. My Samsung came with the cable in the box. If yours didn’t, do a quick search for the cable that fits your phone model on Froogle or Cellular Factory.
Windows knows you just plugged in something new and wants to know what it is, so the Add New Hardware wizard appears, eager to get the question settled. If you’re lucky, your phone came with a handy CD that contains your drivers. I wasn’t so lucky, so I had to Google up the drivers for my particular phone model, install them, and then point the Wizard in the driver’s direction on my hard drive. Once Windows says, “Oh hey Samsung [or insert your model here] CDMA modem,” you’re practically there. My Mac (running Tiger) recognized the phone as a modem right away.
Next you’ll need connection software provided by your carrier. Again this might be on that CD that came with your phone, or you can download it from your plan’s web site. Me, I grabbed the Sprint PCS Connection Manager for phone as Modem software from the Sprint site. Once that baby was installed, it was a matter of hitting the “Go” button and I was online using Sprint’s data network at 230k (translation: slower than broadband but way faster than dial up.) Of course, depending on your location, plan and service, your mileage may vary.
If you don’t have connection software or you’re on a Mac (and the software isn’t available for you), simply enter the phone number for your mobile phone’s network in the modem’s dial up properties. Sprint’s data network number is #777; check with your provider for your details if you’ve got a data plan. Alternately, you can dial into an AOL or NetZero or Earthlink account as well for regular old 56k dialup speeds.
