I was delighted to find that my favorite database software program, Alpha4 (similar to dBase3+) runs on my computer with XP Pro, but it only fills the top half of the screen. I have a feeling it has to do with setting the system configuration but don’t have a clue about how to make it work (I want it to fill the entire monitor.) If it runs in 25 line mode, and your command window is set to 50 line mode, the program will only take up half the window.

Question : Why does my Macbook power adapter only work when I hold it on physically?
Its pretty obvious there is probably something wrong with the connectors on the adapter but my regular Macbook power cord only works when i tape the male end of the adapter directly to my Macbook tightly. Even when I do this it charges really slowly and will randomly stop charging. Is there any quick fixes until I attempt buying a new adapter?

It probably is a wire lose inside the insulation at the plug. But it maybe the plug inside your lap top it is soldered into the mother board and if jerked out or twisted it can break loose. You should take both the lap top and A/C charger in to a computer store repair center and have checked as to not have one of them short out.

means your jack is worn out. is this a old player? time to get a new one. you could send it back to the maker and have them fix it (for a price of course).
some times its the headphones themselves. they won’t reach the connection point or the plug is not big enough to hit the connection point so you get a partial sound.
but i’m betting its the first one. worn out jack.
