Garmin Oregon Automobile kit
Great mount kit for glass windshield.
Connecting the Oregon unit to the mount plate is a little tough, but the moment linked, it is a secure attachment.
The glass suction cup is really powerful, and the GPS mount plate clicks into the suction cup part via sturdy ball mount. Often I leave the GPS unit connected to the mount plate, and disconnect it from the suction cup via the ball mount.
The cigarette lighter connector is a little oversized, but works very good.
The strength provide plug connects to the bottom of the GPS unit and protrudes ahead, but is not a issue since the GPS unit is near to the windshield.
The energy cord is quite prolonged, and you may have to tuck it absent, or tie wrap up the extra cord.
All in all, the GPS car kit is a good unit, and provides a safe powered mount.

Garmin car kit as described
I obtained this vehicle kit for a Garmin Oregon 300 handheld GPS. My GPS is created far more for “off road” use and does not have robust vehicle GPS features. This converts this to a serviceable vehicle GPS with the features that allow for good drive management. Quite content with the suction cup mount, slides in securely to the adapter, plugs in securly. It is an all around excellent addition to my handheld.

Best It Can Be
Shipped & Arrived on Time.
The High quality I have observed to be extremely excellent with no problems at all.
The only qualm I have is because of to the GPS style, it will lead to the cord to be ejected ahead somewhat than shot out behind. Nonetheless, if you just tuck the cord back behind the gps it will be out of the way and not get caught on your steering wheel or fingers.
I would definately reccomend this for anyone with a Oregon 400T as it is the very best on the industry for this model.

It performs!
Purchased this kit to use with my Oregon 200 throughout a street trip through Peru. It operates! Mini USB connector arrives out at the front of the Oregon, which is a small weird, but did not pose any troubles. Suction cup operates one hundred% greater than the 1 on our TomTom. Pretty fairly priced too for an OEM kit.

Oregon products
Really don’t like it quite a lot. I use the gadget to maintain the Oregon (an amazing gps receiver) on my dash, but the adaptor genuinely didn’t operate nicely. I ended up buying a plug for my iGo car adaptor, manufactured by Radio Shack. Garmin need to be ashamed about this “kit”. I would bet I could have identified a much better mounting device, too, if I had looked longer.
CRAP.

Wonderful kit for easy GPS use on the street. We use it all the time.

Does the work, but awkward to set up
This “autonavkit” — what marketer believed that up? — does a great job of keeping the GPSr in area although driving. There is a whole lot of place for adjustment when it’s mounted, and it stays place even on tough roads. The downside is that it is awkward to attach the GPSr to the bracket: you have to slide the unit in from one side by feel, then rotate it 180 degrees to attach the cable, then position it.

How can I connect my Garmin GPS to my car stereo so it interrupts my music when it says a command?
1Question : How can I connect my Garmin GPS to my car stereo so it interrupts my music when it says a command?
I want to connect my Garmin Nuvi 360 to my Mazda 6 car stero. I know how to connect it via an FM modulator, but can I make it so it will interrupt what I am listening to in order to state the commands (not over the music)? Any thoughts?

Unless your stock system has a mute function in the wiring setup…doubt it would work. Some after market head units have a mute wire for connection to a cell phone. When the phone rings, your system mutes. Not sure if Garmin provides this sort of output either. The FM modulated setup just puts the voice into your radio when it speaks.
I would contact Garmin tech support for more options.
Garmin MetroGuide user manual?
0Question : Garmin MetroGuide user manual?

If you mean ‘MapSource MetroGuide’, see if this helps:

If nothing happens at all, your computer may not be set up to run programs off CDs automatically. If you can open the CD as a drive, look for a SETUP.EXE or something similar to start the install.

They are competing each other. If I were Garmin, why should I program maps such that when compressed into a file can be also used by Tom2x, Magellan etc.. Some maps may not even work in other software navigation system even if they are of the same brand, so it is expected not to work on other brands. But most maps(not the map software) may be supplied by same organization like Navteq.

good idea, but it does not
This seems a good idea for most, it seems be done well, had a camera module, was interesting. The problem is that it is not enough to secure the handlebar tight enough. Once you see the slightest vibration of the rotating thing and the GPS unit on the ground. The traction rubber band, not in the lock lever. Press the plastic lever lock / light after a few more releases, and no locks tired.
When the carrier has secured a screw, that would be good, the rubber band is a failure. Not recommended media.

I bought this for my GPS to take off on my cycle. Most of what I found on the square, a semi perminent. This device is going on and comes out very easily. I think it is robust enough to function perfectly on the bike and allows me to remove it and put it in the bag when not in use.
=========================================== === p = p =====================><> GPS MountHappy Mount s not just for me worked. Finally I found a magnetic medium, so it would be the unit in the area, right on the dashboard and not exceed.
=========================================== === = p =====================> rubber bands workI bought this bicycle / motorcycle Mount after reading the reviews say that the GPS is hard to hit a bump. The first thing I did was a knot at the end of two strips of rubber, then slide the loop on the rubber strip on the ball. I then broke the unity on the ball and turned the other loop rubber bands around the device.
I found that my GPS (Nuvi 400), the ball will drop at first, but he stayed there because of the rubber bands to keep him. After some adjustment of rubber bands, he stayed on the ball on the floor, the faces obstacles very large.
I also found the straps to the handlebars to keep the system in place can not be tight enough to do not slide, because the weight is the GPS. To remedy this, I drlled a small hole in the strap through the handle and put a small screw to prevent slipping. This worked well.
Overall, the bike worked, how fit I expected and I enjoyed it with on my bike I have a 30 mile ride on the canals in Phoenix AZ. It seems that the manufacturers have thought about these two obvious problems.
If you have no rubber bands, and you try to put it on a bike, you can expect that your GPS-hop and slide on the floor. The ball is not strong enough.
=========================================== === = p =======================>comfortable, but …. It is better, Super Glue
I use this carrier for two tours. It is easy to remove and well out of my bicycle handlebars and implemented. However, because the ball Garmin standard used in the design of the cradle, I’m always nervous to send a retarder that fly. This concern was confirmed when I ride my bike was displayed and used my bike and fell. The Garmin cradle the ball flies up the mountain. Fortunately, the bike was in the grass, so that no damage occurred to the GPS. But when he hit a curb, he could be toast. Of course, you can request that no editing is perfect and it uses the standard cradle Garmin question. So you do not get to spend too much money on your GPS on the bike. But I would not want you to use again if I glued the birthplace of the mountain. I find it a good solution. Unfortunately for me there is no substitute weighing on the market for the 500 Nuvi. You can find a replacement for the 200 series cheap on ebay. Because I need nüvi 500 from the cradle to the car, I can not add, so I ordered a cradle Ram and bike mount. I know, the birthplace of Ram is safe because I was on my
