Question : What is a decent external hard drive for backup PLUS photo storage? Can I ad an internal backup drive and later put it in an enclosure and use it on other computers without loosing all the data on it? I have read that most of the ready made external drives have pretty lame software on them. photo backup

Question : Why are digital video recorders that record directly to a hard drive no longer available? There used to be (like 3-4 years ago) a large selection of digital video recorders that would take your old-fashioned tv signal and put it directly onto a hard drive. After it was on the hard drive, you could watch it, transfer it to dvd or vhs tape, etc. I have, for example, a Panasonic unit (DMR-EH75V is the model #, I think) that makes it easy to program (off of tvguide.com, I think). 2Question : Need FREE Hard Drive recovery software? I have a hard drive with a lot of data on it my windows xp comp can’t see.
I downloaded recovery software, thought it was free but has very limited capabilities unless it is upgraded. The software sees the hard drive, sees the files but it costs and arm and a leg to purchase the upgrade (really hate it when it says freeware but it ends up costing). I think this is a simple problem that the hard drive lost the hard drive map, or something like that and just needs it rebuilt.

2Question : A Good Broken Hard Drive Recovery Software? My hard drive took a fall a while back, and now I am left wondering if the data is recoverable. The drive still spins, and doesn’t make any bad noises, so I know thats a good sign, but it doesn’t show up in Windows. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good software for recovering files from the drive. Question : Do you expect your wedding photographer to drive to your city for a consultation? I am a photographer in the San Diego area. A lot of my clients live in downtown San Diego, which is 30-40 minutes away from my office.
Do you think customers are less likely to meet with me since I am 30 minutes away?
Do you think I would get more business if *I* drove 30 minutes and met with the customer at their home, business or local coffee shop within their own city?
I don’t want someone to pass me up because my office is not “local”.

Answer by Walker13no software needed. Just re-boot into DOS mode and type in FDISK. This will in effect delete everything from the HD and then you can re-load your OS from the disk and start re-installing all applications.
