Question : what kind of device can I use to take TV down off of 5 foot high cabinet.?
160 pounds CRT (SONY TV). I want to take it down off the top of my entertainment center.
anyone know of any tools (lifting type) that I can rent? or are there other ideas, beside having people come in and do it for me??

It’d be cheaper to pay a couple of kids a few bucks to help you out than actually renting lifting equipment. What have you hidden in the TV?

Question : Is it dangerous to make copies on a photo copy machine without putting the cover down?
you have to lift the cover to place the materials on the copy machine to photo copy it. but i usually dont feel like putting the cover down, especially if I’m making many copies. So is it true that being exposed to the lights will cause cancer or are dangerous to your body?
I ask because I did that today for about 35 minutes and afterwards I did not feel too good.

I’m planning on moving in April. I decided I want to get into the housing market now, while everything is on sale. I don’t have a down payment. I currently pay $ 1150 a month for rent, so I figure if I shoot for a $ 900 a month payment, that will compensate for some home expenses without affecting my budget. I’m considering “lease to own,” but would rather just own. A piggyback loan might be an option, but it appears those are being phased out because of the mortgage crisis. I’m looking in the $ 120-150k price range. I want mortgage insurance, down payment, property taxes and everything else rolled into the loan. I keep Googling for information, but it seems like a never ending circle. Taking out a loan of this size is too important to just randomly pick a company who has a nice ad online. I also want to make sure I don’t get screwed over by high interest rates or other fees, that ultimately cause more problems than it’s worth. Anyone have some good advice? Would a mortgage consultant be a good idea? What about just finding a realtor and seeing what can be done? This is my first home attempt, so please be kind!

That can’t be done. Although most closing fees and mortgage insurance can be rolled into the principal, the down payment and prepaids cannot. For an FHA loan, you must have a down payment of atleast 3.5% and for a conventional loan you must have atleast 5% normally.
No mortgage company will allow you to take out a mortgage without a down payment… it indicates you are not ready financially to purchase a home.
If you do not have enough for a downpayment, then start saving up and you will be ready to go soon. With the current market and this time of year, you are gonna find a nice home at a low cost even if you have to wait a couple months.
As for companies, talk to all your local banks and you will find a good option that you are comfortable with.

So im paying 222 for 35 months and i have the car for 3 years. is this a good deal? i chose to lease because i cannot afford a down payment for a car loan and while i have a decent credit score (692) i wont be able to get a car loan because i dont make enough to afford car payments.Im a college student. entering my third year. I only drive 3 miles to class each day. And the car i used to own i must have put in 5k over the course of the past 3 years. So did a get a good price on the lease. im only paying 222 for 35 months, that is it. no down payment as i stated before. If it matters i live in Albany NY. this zero down payment thing is part of the honda clearance going on until sept 7th. my car i usually use has been acting up the past few days so i dont want to have to put another 500 in it.
until Americans can make a decent car, i dont intend to buy one anytime soon. deal with it.
it does include tax title and everything except insurance which i pay seperately through state farm. and i have been driving a white 97 malibu for three years. no, i wouldnt be satisfied with a 94

Accidently dropped a piece of my Vent-mount GPS down the vent that it was attached too. How to get it out?

The small plastic piece and the spring from the back of the GPS mount unit popped off, and slid right down the vent. I can’t see it, or fish it out with a long pair of forceps.
Is there any easy way to remove the vent and fish it out?
2005 Honda Accord sedan, if that helps. Car is due to go to the dealer for service soon, but don’t want to pay a small fortune to have it done if it’s simple.

I’m just wondering if I’m going to be starting at ground zero at the end of my lease. Right now, I’m looking at trading in a car so that will be my down payment on my lease but at the end of that lease, do I just have to come up with another cash down payment to lease another vehicle or can I trade in my leased car for another leased car? I will not want to buy at the end of my lease. Thanks so much!
