If the DVD you created plays on your DVD player, it will more likely than not play on any DVD player. A good idea would be to use the DVD for your initial presentation media…if the DVD doesn’t play, you can use a tape as backup. Just connect the outgoing connections on the DVD player to the incoming connections on the VCR. Then all you have to do is put your DVD and VHS tape in, press play on the DVD player and record on the VCR.

The only way I know of to get basic cable into your TV is through the F connector you say is broken. If you have a cable box, then you would also have AV, HDMI, etc. to choose from.

The problem is 1/2 of -1.75 is not a power that is available since all powers come in 1/4 diopter steps. So, it would be best to take 1/2 of -1.50 which is -.75. So now take the -4.00 and combine that with a -.75. This would be -4.75. So the best possible power based upon your prescription would be -4.75. I doubt, though, that you will be satisfied with the clarity of your vision wearing this power. I would recommend you stay with a toric lens.

I think (not sure what your mount looks like) that you will need to buy another mount. If your mount has a platform for the box tv to sit on and a strap or something like that then you will probably need another one. This is because flat screen tvs are thin and so the base is very flimsy compared to a sturdy box tv. Therefore, flat screens are mounted without a base. Flat screen mounts attach with screws to the rear of the tv, not the bottom. Therefore, I think you’ll need a new mount.
