I have a photo that I want to scan onto my computer. However, the photo has two magnets (it used to be on the fridge) on the back of it and I’m afraid it might hurt my scanner/printer somehow. Should I worry or is there no problem?

It may be a worry because if the magnet can attract metal parts, then you have a problem. It can also harm the rest of your computer because magnets screw up your computer. Some of the parts in your computer are made of metal parts. Example of these parts are the hard drive which is made of spinning parts. Also, the scanner is probably made out of metal so that may damage it as well. If possible please remove the magnets. You can test the magnet on something metal (not near your computer) to see if it attracts (test on different types of metals because some may not attract). If it doesn’t attract and your willing to take a risk on scanning it, then you may but i don’t recommend it.

Question : How do I clean the back side of my screen protector?
I own the Belkin Screen Overlay Screen Protector for my iPod touch 2g, and when I was applying it some dust and such got under it. I tried removing it and wiping it away, but that only made it worse…
I tried Googling the answer, and I got 2 different answers: putting tape on it and ripping it off, and soaking it in water and having it dry.
But wouldn’t that get rid of the stickiness of it, and prevent it from re-sticking to the iPod afterwards?
Does anyone have a good method to clean screen protectors? Please let me know! Thanks~!

There really is no real way to clean that. Buy a new one at 5Below. I bought one for $ 2 that goes on a iTouch and I cut it up so that it would fit my cell phone screen and I haven’t had any problems at all with it. I hope that helped!

Does anyone know of a company that produces custom photo greeting cards that do not have their own info on the back? I’ve liked what I’ve had made at places like Shutterfly or Kodak, but the finished products have their web address and logo on the back. I’d like my own info to be there instead. Thanks!

You might be better off heading down to your local craft store, getting blank greeting cards, and putting your own photo on them either printed directly or mounting good prints on them with acid free photo mounts. I’ve gotten these at Michael’s and Hobby Lobby to print up my own invitations and the like.
There’s a local photographer who does their own greeting cards featuring their work. They just mount a nice 4×6 print on the front.
If you’re looking for something to do in large quantities, check with local printers.
