I installed a Panasonic CQ-VD7500U In-Dash LCD TV / DVD receiver in my car for 6 months now. I bought this new from my friend. theres no sound from the receiver …. more image works great, plays DVD, but theres no sound. no sound what so ever DVD, CD or menu repairable? and if so, how much do I search? Well first if you have connected speakers to your platform, then perhaps something internal explosion while trying to connect to an amplifier and see if I still have work rca it could be the simplest solution to this, but if it dosent work and you have an amplifier already then check the wiring, if all else fails, if the product has not yet expired, you could send luck bro p DVD Receiver

Your receiver may have a defective amplifier, but this problem can also be caused by a shorted or grounded speaker wire. Examine the speaker connections behind the unit for pinched wiring or uninsulated connections. If you don’t find anything, disconnect all the speakers except one and see if that one plays. If not, disconnect that speaker, connect a different one and try again. If you still get no sound, you probably have a defective head unit. If it will play with one speaker, keep connecting the others until you find the cause of the problem.
A problem with the wiring on one speaker can shut off the head unit’s amplifier, resulting in no sound to any speaker.

a bro. these other answers are pretty legit. hopefully one of these trouble shoots work. i think the best answer would be that the amp in the brain burned out. hopefully the RCA outputs still work so you can run you speakers through an external amp. this would also need to be purchased at a stereo shop. BUT i actually have a brain to this unit. i am not looking to sell it i am looking to puchase the in dash unit. my in dash was stollen but the idiots don’t know how to jack and they left my brain and all the wiring. so i am trying to get my hands on the head unit. so let me know if you are interested in selling the unit.

Check all ground points first, just to make sure nothing is grounding out. Then check all connections, ie: speakers, amps, rca’s, etc. If is just the head unit that is not working properly then you could do one of two things. First you will need the receipt from your friend and get in touch with Panasonic. They have pretty good customer service. Or you could just replace the head unit entirely. Which ever you decide since it is ultimately up to you.
