Question : Pay as you go prepaid phone service best value for minutes?
I’m looking for a pay as you go prepaid cell phone service that has the best value for minutes. I will only be using this cellphone for emergencies and to make quick important calls only and occasional text messaging. I need a phone service that offers the best value for minutes.

There are a two parts to prepaid services. One part is your account balance and the other part is the per minute rate. If the prepaid phone company minutes expire quickly, then you are going to have to keep putting money into your account, making it expensive. Also if the phone company has a high per minute rate, it is going to get expensive.
I would recommend you looking at http://www.prepaidreviews.com/wehelpyoudecide/emergency.html . This is a great website on prepaid cell phone plans. You will have to look at a few to see which plan you like and which ones services in your area.

You should try Virgin Mobile,
I think they charge 18-20cent/min, No Long Distance or Roaming charges nationwide and they use Sprint Network.
