Subwoofer on carpet? How to make it better?
Question : Subwoofer on carpet? How to make it better?
I just moved and our new house has all carpet pretty much. The carpet absorbs a lot of sound, but would putting it on something hard like a wooden block help, instead of on direct carpet?
This is what I have:

I dont know if its down firing or front firing, the booklet with it doesnt say either.

The carpet shouldn’t absorb too much sound . If it sounds wimpy at all , just turn up the volume of the subwoofer . I have a much larger subwoofer on carpet and I can’t tell much different .
Carpet doesn’t attenuate low frequencies very much. It mostly affects high frequencies by absorbing them instead of reflecting them.
