What is the best prepaid cell phone company to go through?
Question : What is the best prepaid cell phone company to go through?
My mom is allowing me to get a prepaid phone.
But i got to pay for it myself.
and i have a job so it wont be a problem.
but i am wondering which prepaid service is the best, and what is the cheapest.
and which ones have the best reliable service.
i would want unlimited text messaging for the cheapest price because i would use it the most for that
unlimited nights and weekends also,
then i would like to have internet access also
and the phone needs to be sweet too.

It depends on you and your calling habits. My kids have tracfone because there’s not a daily fee, just the cost of the phone and minutes. If you get the double minute card and always get the highest card, it works out to about $ .10 a minute. Others may have cheaper minute rates, but they charge about $ 1 a day for service. /

If you have Alltel available in your area, I would suggest them. They have just recently launched a prepaid plan. I know where I livethey have phenomenal service and reception. They have some cool phones with mp3 players and stuff. They also seem to have some really good/reasonably priced bundles/packages. I have a postpaid plan with them, but when that’s up, I think I’ll change to their prepaid. check it out at http://www.alltel.com

I would put in another vote for Alltel. They have a program called Alltel U Prepaid where the “pay per day” package has two free options included, one of which is unlimited text messaging. (Information about the other options is at the website http://www.alltelu.com ) I can assure you that it works well, my average cost runs somewhere between $ 24 and $ 32/mo depending on the daytime voice minutes I use.
Alternatively, if Alltel comes up as not available in your area, odds are that the AT&T gophone is available in your area. You can pay as little as 10 cents a minute for talk and you could pay $ 4.99 and add a feature to get 200 text messages a month (or higher fees to get more text messages, up to $ 19.99/mo for unlimited texts).
I’d still say that Alltel U is the best deal, though. It has reliable signal and an extensive roaming area.

It probly depends on how many minutes you use and if you get unlimited text. I know us cellular has many plans with free incoming calls. Thats saves you alot of minutes.
