How can I mount a plasma above the fireplace on a mount that I can lower to the proper viewing height?
Question : How can I mount a plasma above the fireplace on a mount that I can lower to the proper viewing height?
I want to mount a plasma TV above the fireplace, but that height is too high for viewing. I would like the plasma to be able to be lowered when watching TV and then be raised to above the fireplace when I want to use the fireplace. By the way, I am thinking about a 50″ plasma. Any ideas?

You could ask a local fabrication shop to make a swing down, or slide down arm that will do what you want
what you’re looking for is called an articulating mount. They got them, but they’re not cheap.
Check out a company called Peerless.
