Can you have free standing dsl and still get landline phone service?
Question : Can you have free standing dsl and still get landline phone service?
I already have the free standing DSL but I’m in a one year contract and I don’t want to have to pay the early termination fee to switch companies, but there is a job I would like to apply for that requires high speed internet and a landline phone. So if it is possible for me to keep the service I have but also have a landline phone I would like to know how and who to get it from.

Yes you can have the DSL and keep the landline too. That’s one good thing about a DSL. However, you will have to put these little filters between everything that uses the phone line though. They usually come with the DSL service. I’ve had DSL for a few years now and you can still use the landline while online too.
If you can’t get the landline phone service from the company that provides your dsl, then you can get a vonnage or iconnecthere phone which is a VOIP phone, but still a landline.
