I haven’t heard of it, but I would bet it is a scam. Any legitimate service would be well known.
Judging by the claims on the website it isn’t right.
It claims to offer cable programming. Cable channels will not legitimately let their channels be distributed by a one time fee or free. Cable channels have to be made available for a monthly or otherwise regular fee.
Also, it claims to have no international boundaries. Broadcast and cable channels in many countries do restrict the availability of their channels to only their country or market.
A legitimate service/provider would be required to honor the legal markets of channels.
3rdly, they may claim to carry specific broadcast networks. In the USA at least, “Networks” are not channels that providers can distribute. Networks service affiliate stations, which then broadcast to their market, or which providers contract to carry, yes usually limited to only that market.
Dear Angel,
I tried to load the site and got a page error – evidently there is something going on with this particular site.
But, the technology is definitely up-and-coming – here in the U.S. The problem is that TV signals carry much more data than a regular phone call – streaming TV broadcasts have been happening in Japan for years because they have the network to carry the load.
Here in the U.S., we’re a little slower, but it’s happening.
Don’t always assume everything is a scam just because of one questionable site – do your research and make an educated decision.
Who would have believed all of the features of the i-phone a mere ten years ago?
Hope this helps
