Question : Going from fiber optic internet to wireless, so what needs to be done?
Like stated before we have fiber optic and my family wants to switch to wireless. We have a newer HP computer if it makes a difference, there is also no wireless in our neighbor hood so we can’t just get it from somebody else.

Just get a wireless router and plug it into your modem (or whatever connects to the fiber optic).
First of all your internet service is being provided via a modem. I suggest you purchase a linksys wireless router. Connect this wireless router to your internet modem. You must purchase a wireless card for your pc. You may purchase an internal card or external device using your usb ports. These items can be purchased at Walmart for best prices. They have easy instructions and good customer service provided by Linksys. Good Luck.
