i used a prepaid the minimum is a 15 dollar card. I can las it for two to three weeks depending how often i use it. not a big user. put if you use it alot or plan to like evryone else. do not go prepaid or as you go. is going to cost you. the plans minimum are round 30 to 40 per month. they are goin to do their best to kepp you away from the cheapest planes because they want to make a commission. go verizon is the best network. I was “wireless” laptop on idaho mountain wilderness and it worked compared to my friends sprint phone

That really depends on how much you will use!
Its ALWAYS cheaper to get more minutes than u think u will use than getting lets say 400 minutes and using 600… If that happens, u will be looking at a bill of at least 150 dollars more, while a plan with more minutes would cost u about 20 dollars more, sometimes even less.
A good thing about cingularATT is that they offer the rollover minutes, so u can accumulate the minutes u dont use. (up to 1 yr)
Take into consideration any text message you will be using and internet usage as well.
The go plans or Pay as u go are not a very good choice, they are only good because u dont have to sign a contract, but in the end they are much more expensive.
check also to see a plan with good deals like Nights and Weekends (what time it starts) and Mobile to Mobile…
I worked for a cell company, i hope i could help ya!! -

Possibly the above phone from Walmart. But you should think about this depending upon how much you will use the phone. The above phone looks just like my LG phone from Cingular (now AT&T) but costs $ 79 instead of the $ 30 I paid for mine which was refunded once I kept the plan for 2 years. So I paid $ 0 for mine and get billed by the month and have about 250 hours of time or something like that. I suspect my plan would be $ 59 a month but we actually have three phones on a family plan so it is more like $ 99 to $ 109 a month I think (My wife pays the bill). I am the only one with prepaid text messaging on the plan (other phones 10 cents per message).
