Question : Do you need carpet wrapped around a home made subwoofer box?
I have a homemade sub box for my two 15″ kickers, but I need to know if its worth me wrapping it or not, what does the carpet do?

a good idea to eliminate rattle.

gets rid of a little bit of rattle from what your box is sitting on
more like carpet=over ratted
rock the awsome nails and wood look
i know i do and my subs sound nicer than anybody i knows
i thinks it is more of just a cliche thing that everyone does cause everyone does it
and it serves no purpose really unless your setting you box like directily on metal then just throw some carpet under neath

It keeps the rattle down and you will have a much better sound coming out of the speaher box. I would wrap it myself.
