Tracfone does it for me….double the minutes you paid for when you buy airtime, free incoming texts and overseas calls to over 60 countries at the same per minute rate as calls in the US! The Tracfones and minutes have gotten cheaper and cheaper over the years and I’ve saved thousands of dollars since I joined them!

as a student i seem to be a broke piggy on a permanent basis. since i switched from contract to prepaid with straight talk, things are finally beginning to look a little better. with the $45 a month unlimited plan for unlimited talk, text and data, free 411 calls and no extra charges for long distance i am saving at least $30 a month or more.i splashed out and got myself the qwerty slider with straight talk aswell and simply love it. great phone with lots of features to play around with

I have never been able to grasp the whole concept of cell phone contracts in the first place. With land line phones, you don’t have to go through that whole contract crap. So, why should one have to go through that whole contract crap with cell phones? Why should cell phones be different? I think that whole contract concept is very very Jewish! Wern’t they told six million times already that their crap won’t be put up with any longer?

i never even looked at prepaid before, contract seemed to be what everybody has. when the recession hit, it hit me aswell and i had to look into saving money, and therefore looked into prepaid phone deals. i am so glad i did it. i found Straight Talk at Walmart and for $45 a month i can talk and text unlimited. no hidden costs, no small print in a contract. i have no extra charges for long distance calls, and with my husband away a lot for business, that comes in real handy.

Since opting for a frugal lifestyle in order to facilitate my new mortgage in my budget I’ve had to cancel my contract and switch to prepaid. It paid me to pay a contract cancellation fee in the long term as I’m saving $60 / month now on the Straight Talk $30 plan & will never look at another contract again. This plan offers me about 5 comfy 6 minute calls & about 30 texts a day, 30MB of data & 30 days service . I don’t make that many calls so this is a perfect package & no hidden charges

i definately think prepaid is the better option for me, as there are no hidden costs. with Straight Talk i get unlimited texting, web access and phone calls for $45 a month. the savings i have in comparism to a contract are huge. i save an average of $5o a month. so after 6 month of being with Straight Talk i can even afford a smart phone if i felt the need of having one, which i do not, as all i need a phone for, is to stay in contact with friends and family

So maybe I can’t get an iphone, but the savings I make on Straight Talk’s $30, 1000minutes and texts plan, are so huge, I’d rather be spending the money elsewhere and also not have to worry about being tied to a contract while they decide what they’re gonna add to your bill. And let’s not even mention overages! Have fantastic service on ST prepaid, and the “shiny” phone is really not worth the hassle of a contract

I’ve been contract carriers and I can honestly say, based on my current prepaid experience now that I switched, I have to prepaid is the best option. If you are a huge talker or a moderate one, there really is a plan out there for you and you are still on major carrier networks. I’m with Walmart’s Straight Talk line and part of the Verizxon network and its $45 for unlimited service or $30 for 1,000 minutes and texts. The phones variety is growing and saving more than $90 a month is a major plus.

It does not make sense to be tied up in contracts, bondage, extra hidden costs, surprise scary bills, cancellation fee’s, what if you suddenly loose your monthly income unexpectedly how are you going to pay your contract for the next 9 months?
I am using Straight Talk $45/month 30 day service, unlimited talk nationwide, text and web access give me freedom of worry, freedom to talk and text as much as I desire, my reception is excellent so far, no cancellation fee, cost control, super cheap rates -

I have a Straight Talk but I got the kids Tracfones for Christmas and they were thrilled! The double minutes is such a good deal and the phones so cheap to buy that for less than $50.00 you get the phone and the airtime! The service is so reliable I don’t have to worry about the kids having dropped calls or bad reception!
