What is best office telephone system to buy?
Question : What is best office telephone system to buy?
I have new phone service from my cable provider with 4 phone numbers (3 rollover lines & 1 fax line) with 8 desks / extensions. I need to purchase a telephone system and would like to know what is the best value (bang for the buck). I do not expect to expand phone lines beyond 5 total lines for the foreseeable future. I do not expect to expand beyond 10 phone extensions either.
I have a quote for 3k now but am not sure this is a good deal.
I discovered a company called SwitchTalk which provides a system. Anyone using them?

What do you get for the $ 3K? An NEC DSX-40 which grows to 8×24 and starts as a 4x8x2 will cost about 1600 without voice mail and anywhere from 2000-2200 with VM but without VM to email.
Installation of premise wiring is extra.
It’s actually a TalkSwitch and if you look you can still buy that guy’s SimpliPhone for $ 2500
Go back to what the $ 3K is for. Does it include inside wiring or are you paying for just the phone system hardware? You can get a Panasonic KSU for $ 100-200. If you want to compare apples to oranges and buy used vs. new, you’ll find a whole lot of different deals for under your $ 3K target. If you wanted cheap, why not do better homework?
Hosted virtual PBX phone system has minimum hardware and software requirement making it affordable to small and starting up business. The system is scalable and you can transfer callers to different extensions, which can be assigned to employees and departments dispersed around the country or around the world. Extensions include online fax and voicemail functionality and many more.
