Hdtv channels???
Question : Hdtv channels???
I am going to be getting a hdtv with a build in tuner in about a week. But im a little bit confussed on some stuff. 1) When you’re watching football and it says hdtv where avalible i have to have hdtv from dish network right?? 2) Is there a site where you can find the closest tv station to me that transmittes hdtv then i could watch football in hdtv with a over the air antenna right? Im sooo confussed it’s not even funny so any help on this would be great!! Thanks!!!

many tv stations are already broadcasting in hdtv[high def] but some wont until 09 when the fedral mandate takes effect.you will need a tv that is digital/high def ready.you have that already.now all you need is an atenna thet recives high def signals as well.go to raido shack mine cost 20 bucks. B.T.W. if you dont have a hdtv youll have to get a digital converter box

The best HDTV comes through the air via a roof top antenna. Cable & satellite need a converter. When you get your TV you will find that each station has more than one channel. For example: Channel 2 might be a standard analog signal. Channel 2.1 bat be the HD version of the same program. Channel 2.2 might be weather.
