These are OEM….Should be a box and those wires should not stick out until 6 months or so after use…(from wear on the black plastic around the metal after you open them) 2 things? Can the Blue lights on each ear be turned off, like the HT820s by pressing foward and reverse on the ear piece simultaneously? and with ios 4.1 for the iphone/ipad/itouch in Sept., I believe the track forward and reverse should work now?

Look at the side of the earpiece as a compass. When it is not in use, it is in the North position. Moving to Northeast goes forward, and moving Northwest goes backward. Whether you have to go into either of these positions, you will always pass the North position where you can opt to leave the earpiece alone to resume playback. Hope that helps.
