@2008hhsawards this is not a rich person’s kit. The average poor person can afford it
@rockhopper123452 xl2 is not HD(1080), its still SD with a few more options. one of the best option is the native 24p
@moviesunrated xl2 is better hd and to tell the xl1 has a red thing on the handle xl2 dosent

Its shocking that a canon 550d can out preform cams like these in most circumstances.
If i win the lottery, this thing is the first on my list.

The XL2 has a higher resolution and better lens than the XL1 they are both standard definition and are not HD cameras
i don’t like the color. i would only like black…….

xl1 was a good camcorder, but it could have done with 3CCDs rather than one.
DVX 100 doesn’t do proper widescreen! it’s biggest let down
