The Windows XP operating system provides the ability to encrypt files and folders to run. There are 3rd party tools that can perform like PGP Desktop, the whole disk, logical drives, files and encrypt e-mail.

If you deal in general with confidential or sensitive information, private information or if you do not fall into the hands of someone else, the encryption can go way you want. However, there are some things that you are aware of what you do not have a false sense of security should be.
