I have been losing my Time Warner internet connection almost every day between about 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM, most days for the past five weeks. This is what my Time Warner cable modem looks like for about six hours every day, with the sync light just flashing and not steady as it should be. When it finally does come back on in the evening, the download speed is choppy, averaging around 300 KBS, and I only get back up to 6 MBPS around 10:00 PM. I’ve done all the usual things – been on the phone to customer service dozens of times, for many hours in total. I’m also on my third modem now. They sent out an engineer once a few weeks back, and another one is due tomorrow.

i have a problem like this where i will be playing XBox and then of course LAGG! and then my modem turns off turns, then back on, all lights are on except cable then it comes back after like 3 minutes. its annoying. it happens like 6 times once i get home from school, more time on Saturday and Sunday. i might switch to verizon FiOs would it be good transition? tell me please.

TWC is the worst Internet. It stalled on me all the time, and replacing modems, power cycling, etc. didn’t work.

I dumped TWC because of daily outages that lasted anywhere from 5 minutes to the most recent one that lasted SIX DAYS STRAIGHT. I tried every channel to fix it. Gave up and switched to Verizon. Am hoping it works better.

Had the same problem. The signal would drop after 30mins or so. Found a good tip youtube.com/watch?v=FThec6zNDiw Now the lights stay blinking. I also turned the modem vertical.

Having the same problem.
Quite frustrating.
Once I am online, within minutes I am bumped off.
On some sites I am not able to log in at all – I am timed out because of the connection problem.

I get a similar problem. My modem hangs sometimes and just stops sending out any data for some reason. This usually results in a big lag on accessing web sites and sometimes time-outs, even though Windows indicates that my internet connection is okay.

@patocka1988 Probably because over 16 thousand people had or have the same problem, TWC is great for emails, but sucks for anything else , like gaming.
