Congrats on getting to this point! I’m working on it slowly but surely. A tripod is a must. And a remote would also be a good thing to have. I would look around on eBay for some backdrops. They have reasonable prices from time to time. While you are there do a search for some props. I haven’t gotten as far as lighting yet, but definitely check into that as well if you don’t have any lighting equipment. And the obvious, additional lenses and filters.

Depending on the camera, a 6 and 8 mp will allow you to print up large prints while still maintaining good quality resolution. You should be able to get a nice looking 11×14 from the 8 mp. I know a couple of pros that use the Canon Digital Rebel and they say it is equal to other professional grade cameras in the $ 2000 to $ 3000 range.

Other than that, I don’t know. These are just things that I have come up with so far that I feel that I will need when I get to where you are. I wish you the best of luck in your new venture!
