Question : How can I tell if the computer I am using has monitoring software?
Im at work and we’re not allowed to use on the internet any more because someone was caught looking at porn. I was told that the computers now have monitoring software. I dont know if they said that just scare us but I want to know how I can tell if this is true.

Most computer at work usually has monitoring software. It’s not only monitoring you surf internet…it also help network engineer to install software update, apply new patch and scan the virus. When the scan software do the job, usually you can see from your CPU spike a bit. You can watch that under window task manager > performance tab.
Run the task manager (Ctrl + Alt + Del) and look at the running processes. You may see something that would indicate monitoring software, but if not I would probably make a list and then google the ones you don’t recognize.

Ps. This may not help if they are running proxy side monitoring and recording the site history.
