Question : Is the Iridium satellite actually made of Iridium?

i wonder if a Mercury Sable is made from either Mercury or Sable.

according to wiki… the Iridium satellites “derives its name from the chemical element iridium; the number of satellites projected in the early stages of planning was 77, the atomic number of iridium, evoking the metaphor of 77 electrons orbiting the nucleus.”

unfortunately, there are only 66 of them now.
