Would Comcast have a problem with me hosting a home web server?
Question : Would Comcast have a problem with me hosting a home web server?
I wouldn’t go over the bandwidth cap, or use it for business/profit, so would they have any other problems with it? I’ve heard that some ISPs don’t approve of customers doing so… not sure why though.

They are rather narrow minded on the subject
Instead of setting up a web server from your home, and having to deal with the hassles, why not use the web space that Comcast provides you as part of your account?
Go to Comcast’s web site, log into your account and take a look. They currently seem to be offering up to 1 GB of storage for personal web pages.
It’s a lot easier than setting up and administering your own server, and it’s free
