Question : Are rays from photocopiers bad for health?
Are rays from photocopiers bad for health? Is a person, not closing the cover when photocopying, exposing himself to higher risk for cancer for example?

I don’t think it’s the rays from the machine you need to worry about. The fumes from the ink will make you sick, though. I have gotten lightheaded and stomach aches from copying for too long.

Not today’s copiers. My office purchased a new one 2 years ago and I was told then that leaving the cover open does not harm the machine from the office overhead lights and they actually scan not “photocopy”
Now if it’s a XEROX copier machine from 20 years ago my answer would be different. Or if someone inhales or breaths in the toner when changing it that’s different too….. -

Yes they are bad for your eyes looking at it can have the same affect as looking into the sun!
