Look up file shredder applications. Pick one based on your needs and cost (many options exist). If you are looking at entire disk wipes, consider looking up disk wipe software (DBAN is a good option for this).

transfoptimus – Thedoes not completely erase the file. All this does is remove the file pointer and not leave a reference in the recycle bin. A file recovery utility will still have a chance at recovering the file by examining the disk directly (not via the file system). -

first
Rename the file to
any unmeaning name
then delete the file
copy and paste on the partition that had the file until it is FULL
after that delete what you copied ( that iverwrite the file so that it will not be recoverable at all)
