Question : How to create a custom photo card in photoshop?
Are there any special settings when creating photocards in photoshop? I tried to create a 4 x6 card and when I sent to Walmart to get printed, it was cropped on the sides. Any suggestions?

Oh, I did leave about 1/8 inch of now text or images around the border in case nut it still cropped.

How can I keep this from happening? It looked just like I wanted when I previewed it at Walmart’s website.

It might not be you. It might be the machines at WalMart. Take a 6X4 image somewhere else for printing and see if it’s cropped. If you resized to 6X4, a 6X4 card should have your entire image on it. You also might try doing a 6X4 crop at 300 dpi resolution after you’ve resized. It shouldn’t make any difference but you never know. Set the Crop Tool to the 6X4 preset, Resolution=300 and then drag the crop boundary until it’s around the whole image. If you can’t get the crop boundary along all the edges of the re-sized image, then the image isn’t 6X4. If you do get the boundary along all edges, you can apply the crop without changing anything or you can cancel it by clicking on the circle with the slash through it.
