Question : Is it ok to buy a cell phone battery off ebay?
They are alot cheaper than going through the company…why is that, are they not as good?

It depends I guess because I have bought several batteries there for my cell phone and some worked and then some didn’t the battery would uncharge quickly even when it said “NEW NEVER USED”

I just bought two batteries, one for mine and my daughters Samsung phone. They were OEM products and I paid 5 bucks each for them. They are normally about 40 bucks each in the store. The reason that they are so much cheaper is that you are not renting a store front, you are not paying employees, you are not paying rent or utilities for your store, you are not paying insurance for your employees. It’s just the product and the consumer. Thus a heck of a sweet deal. Both batteries were still in the original packaging. I now only have to charge my phone once a week instead of every day.

You should check out http://www.digitaldealz.net for their cell phone batteries. They carry OEM batteries and 3rd party OEM equivalents, and have awesome prices.
I have found that they are about 50 – 75% cheaper than the manufacturer even on the same battery that you would get from the manufacturer.
