Question : Why does noone scream when the lottery, payday lenders, rent to own stores, and auto pawn lots ripoff the poor?
Democrats go nuts about wall street bankers, yet they were the ones who brought the lottery to our state. And every week the poorest zip codes sell the most tickets. They said it would fix education; so much for that.

Payday lenders prey on the poor. You NEVER see these in rich neighborhoods.

Many dems want to regulate pay day lenders and in many states they do. They are regulated where I live. That’s a good thing.

In my state, a portion of lottery dollars go directly to our state parks. It’s the very reason our state parks are thriving while our neighboring states have parks that are hurting.

Are you joking? Democratic legislators in our state have continually tried to shut down payday lenders and car title lenders and force them to lower their interest rates, but they have a powerful lobby and conservatives scream “free enterprise”.

You do realize laws regarding payday lenders have been on the books for several years now – enacted by the Bush admin.
You don’t have to rent to own or buy lottery tickets, and I think you info is a little shaky there.

As for lottery funds fixing the school systems, states actually have to use it for that and none really do.
