Whats the probability of my flat screen TV being 120 Hrz without having to take it off the wall to check?
Question : Whats the probability of my flat screen TV being 120 Hrz without having to take it off the wall to check?
I have 40″ Sony Bravia Full HD flat screen wall mounted TV, i reckon its about 4 years old. I ‘m thinkin of buyin something that requires my tv to be 120hrz or above. I can’t be arsed takin this thing off the wall to look at the model number. I’m wondering what the probability is of it being that speed without the hassle.
Thanks

120hz Tv’s came out around 2007 or 2008 and were really expensive,
If your TV is 4 years old, it’s definately not a 120hz. The 120hz is good
to turn on for Video games and sports, but turn it off for shows and movies
because it looks really weird. Also try a plasma if you want a new TV
or LED LCD tv. Plasma’s have the best colors and contrasts also they
have 600hz sub field which means nothing looks weird when on. LED’s
are more expensive but they Have colors and contrasts almost similar
to plasma’s and have 120hz or 240hz refresh rates.
120Hz TVs didn’t show up until late 2007. If your TV is 4 years old, it’s definitely not 120Hz.
You can check the user’s manual that came with the TV to be sure. (doesn’t anyone actually keep these things?)
