The Retail Furniture Bankruptcies Whom to Blame? Ben Shalom Bernanke? George Walker Bush? or The Republicans?
Question : The Retail Furniture Bankruptcies Whom to Blame? Ben Shalom Bernanke? George Walker Bush? or The Republicans?
Large Furniture Retail Companies are going under and declaring bankruptcies. Take for example the giant Wickes and Levitz. Bombay furniture is closing many stores. The root of the problem is the very weak new home market. Certainly, Bernanke control the pull of string with interest rates. He can reduce further with the risk of inflation boogie. Bush with his massive spending on wars and the military and the Republicans as foot soldiers for their Fuhrer.

Completely wrong, you’re arguments are irrelevant. Levitz has had problems for years and years…….they overcharge their customers and have crappy customer service. Bombay has nice stuff but how much sense does it make to have an expensive furniture store in an indoor shopping mall? It makes no sense. I looked at some things there once and was shocked that it if they could deliver it it would be several weeks…..and it was impossible according to the sales idiot to pick it up at the store, even though the actualy item I wanted to purchase was in stock….does that make sense? There is a credit problem in this country for several reasons, the over inflation of the housing market in a few key area’s is only part of the problem……greedy mortgage brokers and mortgage companies are a large part of the problem.
You can’t blame the government for everything, at some point, people are responsible for their own actions. I don’t sit around blaming the government, the bank, the mortgage company or the previous owner of the business I lost for its failure…..I shouldn’t have been approved for those loans, it makes no sense that I was…….but I shouldn’t have expected the growth that I inticipated for the business either…I should have had less credit and a lot more capitol. It was my mistake, not the governments.
