Yeah they suck. However a lot of companies will allow you to talk to a real person by hitting 0, but you’re on hold for a long time.

What I hate is “Press 1 for English, press 2 for Spanish.” How about a button to press to say “Learn English!” Bottom line, though, is whatever happened to customer service?

i HATE them!!! they never understand unless i yell!! then sometimes they get mad and say good bye and im like mother #%%$ % im not done but its already hung up and i get back on there and then it transfers me to the wrong thing and then i get a beep on my line and miss what the stupid thing said and try to get it to repeat and it wont cuz thats not an available option… agh!!

The Social Security Administration has one. I tried spelling my first name five times and it couldn’t understand. I then said “agent” and it said you have to say at least two words. I then said “agent please” and it gave me one.

The one I like is Julie at Amtrak. 800-USA-RAIL. Try it.

Hi, yeh, I don’t prefer them, real conversations are better(you know people?) lol.., but I’ve gotten used to the systems. Perhaps at one point, I despised them, but now I’m simply annoyed by all the steps you have to follow(correctly) so everything (hopefully) works right. If you listen to the options long enough, sometimes, (usually) theres an option to speak to customer service rep. I Opt out for that Quite Often!
