in los angeles, wedding photographers for a nice wedding should be getting paid about 75- 100 dollars per hour. or if it is a package deal, most run around 3000 to 5000 dollars, which includes the photos, the disk, the photo album and all the editing. you can figure it out from there.

I’m paying $ 1800 for 8 hrs of coverage with 2 photographers, unlimited shots, rights to all of the photos, a 260 page coffee table book, and 60 individual prints… if you can beat that price then awesome!
Other freelance photographers want $ 250 to $ 500 per hour of service. Most high end packages range from $ 5000 to $ 10000 (depending on the event.. such as a long weekend). Inflation at its best in good ol’ Los Angeles, CA

It will really depend on your quality and experience. An average photographer will charge $ 2,000 – $ 4,000 for a day of coverage, which usually includes about 500 usable photographs, all retouched, digital delivery of photographs via website, DVD of photographs, and a wedding album. Usually this includes two photographers.
A high quality photographer with many references can charge $ 5,000 – $ 10,000 (but obviously won’t get as much wedding work). Being a “high quality” photographer doesn’t mean that you’ve worked a few weddings, either. You should be able to show your national magazine shoots, have shot with famous people, etc.

Anywhere from $ 500 to $ 5000. But we’re in a tough economy right now.
Many photographers are willing to wheel and deal.
Here’s what some couples are asking of their photographers:
The original proof CD be submitted as part of the *contract*.
Photos taken can be downloaded at the end of the event into bride and groom’s laptop or friend’s laptop.
The *original* digital files in RAW format are to be burned to CD, not weak JPEG thumbnail shots.
All rights to the photos be totally released to bride and groom.
Contract states that 60% down payment will be made but the remaining balance will be given when the goods are received.

HA, yes in LA…but where I live in Maine…you get paid $ 100 for the full service. Some people are so poor the cant afford a photographer so they use their Kodak camera bought from a gift store and shoot the wedding themseves. So I guess it depends where you live and the kind of epertise you have,.
