Question : Which contact lens is better “Acuvue Oasis” or some other?
Last time i went to the dentist , he told me to get Proclear ( from himself ) . I used to think i have big eyes , so i asked him ” Is it because i have big eye balls” and he said yea. But little did i know how much irritating it would be .
( He prescribed it to me because of insurace , so he can save money )
Because the Proclear lens are sooo Irritating it’s unbearable on my eyes. I don’t know why. I think i have hugely sensitive eyes. My cousin wears his contact lens ( soft ) for weeks . I don’t understand it . How come my eyes can’t take contact lens ? Is there something wrong with my eyes or Can you tell me the best Contact Lens please???? i am sick of wearing Glasses for all these years ?
Correction – i meant OPTICIAN ! lol.

Try to get a second opinion. Some optometrists are definitely better at fitting contacts than others. Some patients can wear their lenses longer than others-it just depends on the patient. Your lenses should be comfortable and with so many different contact lenses brands and sizes available, a good dr. should be able to fit you.

At the first sign of irritation you should tell your optometrist or ophthamologist that the contacts he presribed to you aren’t working, and he should switch you to a different brand that will be better for your eyes. There are a lot of brands of contacts out there and only you and your doctor can make the best recommendation for your particular eyes.

Sometimes eye doctors fall in love with a product that isnt right for everyone, and some sell the because that’s the brand they choose to sell. I would ask your doctor for a trial pair of Accuvue Oasys, Focus Night & Day and possilbly leave you an out for maybe a Daily disposable, such as Focus Dailies, or Accuvue One Day. Part of the problem could also be seasonal allergies, to be patient in your questfor the best!

i’m a huge fan of the oasys but also acv2 works for others(not sure how) it all depens on the fit of your first and foremost, but the oasys is the newest bestest thing i guess 02optix is good also forgetting about their minor recall either way some you can sleep oin some you can’t and the better you take care of them the longer they last, but don
