What are the best sound quality earbud headphones?
Question : What are the best sound quality earbud headphones?
I listen to my iPod at the gym alot, and I need a new set of earbud headphones, cause I listen to my iPod while I workout. Is Bose the best one to get? Will it give me the best sound? or are there other brands that sound better for iPod music?

How much are you looking to spend? A great pair worth about twice as much as its $ 80 cost is the Head-Direct RE0.

If they’re just for iPod then I wouldn’t spend too much, you might not hear the quality difference between a $ 500 pair and the RE0′s, even if your songs are in ALAC format (which they’re probably not). What I mean is, to hear the difference you also need to be playing the music from a good source; portable players usually don’t cut it.

Shure SE530 are amazing, but you don’t need the PTH function. Shure SCL4 are their top of the line pro earphones, they’re great too. Actually more accurate than the SE530s.
Etymotic 4P is incredible, I think better than the Shure, and they cost less.
I own all 3 of those.
Other great ones are the top of the lines from Westone, Etymotic, and Klipsch.

MaximumPC magazine tested a lot of these and they said that the Shure SE530PTH earbuds were the best. At $ 500 (from Amazon), they better be.
