Which has better prepaid cell phone service: Net 10 or Virgin Mobile?
Question : Which has better prepaid cell phone service: Net 10 or Virgin Mobile?
I am already aware of the costs of both prepaid services and I am also familiar their plans. However I was wondering if anyone has personal reviews. Other than the price, how would you rate the service and quality of these two providers, and which would you recommend to someone who needs a basic prepaid cell phone service?

virgin mobile. I had them before I got a contract and they had great service and good prices for unlimited everything.

I would have to say NET10. Winner of JD Powers award for best prepaid value. But actually my own personal experience with Virgin (on the Sprint network) was very bad. Delayed texts and dropped calls were daily occurrences with Virgin.
Ever since I’ve been on NET10 I’ve maybe had one dropped call a week and always in places where I didn’t even get signal before. NET10 also does not charge roaming fees and is carried on either the T-Mo or the AT&T networks depending on where you live and seriously, both these networks are better than Sprint anyway.

Virgin Mobile is ok. coverage depends on where you live. mine is pretty good. I have a mantra phone which really is a good phone for $ 30. never had a dropped call but don’t talk much. text messages are not delayed unless you don’t have signal. i’m cheap and their prices are pretty cheap so i go with them. been with them for 3 years now.
