CES 2009: Intel Touch-screen Display

At Intel’s booth, they have this pretty cool, Minority Report style touch-screen display. It’s using a real-time 3D engine driving a giant transparent touch-screen. It uses laser-etched holograms, which is pretty cool. They are using the display to showcase Intel’s latest processors: the Intel Core i7, Intel Centrino 2, and the Intel Atom.

GMRS/FRS two way radio confusion?

Question : GMRS/FRS two way radio confusion? i have 7 GMRS/FRS radios and no gmrs liecence nor do i plan on getting one as i wish to only use the FRS channels

the manual on the maxus radios stated that only channels 1-7 are FRS only and the manual on the motorola talkabout radios stated that channels 8-14 are FRS only

BUT at the FCC web site stated that 1-7 are “shared” between GMRS/FRS and 8-14 are strictly FRS only

basicly what im asking is can i use channels 8-14 on my maxus radios without the need of a GMRS liecence? frs two way radio

Question : I run a small web start-up (5 people). Can anybody recommend a light-weight bug tracking database for us? We do not want to spend a lot of money on this. Our project is not open source. We use CVS to manage our code base. bug tracking

Answer by ColanthHire people who really know how to program, get rid of gimmicks like CVS and manage your code yourselves, and have one of your people write a bug track program for you. It shouldn’t take more than about 10 hours. (I knocked out a nice one in VB6 a few years ago in an afternoon.)

Question : What is the easiest way to get basic HD channels on my projector? I’ve got an awesome HD projector that I mainly use for PS3 but I have watched basic cable on it by connecting the coax cable into an old VCR and then the video RCA into the projector because there is no coax input on the projector. With this in mind, is there anyway to get the basic HD channels on my projector? I thought maybe if I use one of those digital tuners but I got no signal because I already have cable and don’t use an antenna I’m assuming. What is my easiest and cheapest solution? Question : security dvr? am needing an 8 exterior secrurity camera set up. Could we use a standalone pc for the DVR? or would it be better to buy a PC based security system from a dealler, preloaded with software, and configured? security dvr
