Question : Is there a free software or program that I can use for event management?
Currently, I need an app that will allow me to create events on a website and have members of my club sign up for events they would like to attend. It needs to be a website feature, needs to have a queue for attendants, and needs us (the administrator) to be able to choose who we are taking for the event.

Registration to the site would be ok, but it would be better if people could just leave comments with their contact information.

Not sure how well this fits into what you’re looking for, but have you looked at Google Calendar? It keeps track of events, can send out reminder e-mails as well as invitations to events, and it will allow your guests to RSVP. It’s free, but I think users will have to have an account with Google (also free).
