should i stay with my t-mobile sidekick slide or get a new phone?
Question : should i stay with my t-mobile sidekick slide or get a new phone?
right now, i have a sidekick slide in blue.
Pros:
-i like the games
-nice music player
-notes
-sms
Cons:
-its fat
-apparently, its not registered
-aim&live&yahoo messenger isn’t connected
-no recorder
-no personal ringtones
and the big, fat con is sometimes when you slide the screen up & down, sometimes you don’t even do anything! and it automatically shuts off. and when it does, it erases most of the information on the phone. should i stay with my phone, or get a new phone. any suggestions on what to do?
why i’m questioning this is because this sidekick slide was $ 200 plus $ 60 to repair the weird automatic shut down for only a month, unforunatley, which i didn’t know and i’m asking if this phone of only a year should be replaced or not because i don’t want to sound like a spoiled tween.
i’d like a phone with a nice qwerty keyboard, good camera that can take videos, music player, games, sms, up-to-date, aim, and inexpensive. oh, it has to be t-mobile too.
thanks♥

id say to go for a nokia. im using nokia for almost a year now and i never had any problems with it, i have a 5800 (the phone featured in the movie “The Dark Knight”, Christina Aguilera’s “Keeps Gettin’ Better”, Britney Spears’s”Womanizer” , Flo Rida’s “Right Round”, The Pussycat Dolls’s “Jai Ho!” and “Hush Hush”, Katy Perry’s “Waking Up In Vegas”, Cobra Starship’s “Good Girls Go Bad”, Mariah Carey’s “Obsessed” – my point: my phone is a star!!! im so happy with it!!! =)) )
nokia is the world leader in cell phone industry, the largest cell phone manufacturer and the biggest smart phone producer.
samsung is the second largest cell phone manufacturer, as of smart phones rim’s blackberry is the second largest…but why settle with less, nokia, although better, its not necessarily more expensive u know.
u should definitely check out this links, u know, just to get an idea:
http://www.nokia.co.uk/
http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia-phones-1.p…
http://maemo.nokia.com/
http://www.symbian.org/
as of operating system nokia uses maemo (on its high end devices, like the n900) and symbian (middle to high end devices n series, e series and music orientated devices mostly)
the most recent versions of both the os;s mentioned above, as of today, are meamo 5 and symbian^1.
people are always more preoccupied with the hardware manufacturer but u know, the os its as, or maybe even more, important. mobile phones today are not only used for making phone calls, we use them as portable pc;s – that’s why we need a quality os to power them.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_oper… – symbian its the world lider in terms of market shares
maemo is somehow similar to googles android, and if u ask me this 2 are the best mobile operating systems out on the marker right now. symbian, in terms of functionality will rank second in my top. closely followed by windows mobile and palms web os, then blackberry os and then, last, iphone os.
i know it sounds strange – everyones worshiping the iphone, but u have no customizations possibilities,u get no real home screen, its like ure stuck in the menu all the time, no widgets and no multitasking, the last one being probably the biggest gap since in the iphone everything its application based – ud thing u could run more than 1 app at a time. and those are only software gaps, not to mention poor hardware, like lacking a video call camera
id say a nokia its ure biggest bet right now, but its up to u to decide, its ure money, ure phone and ure the one who’s suppose to like it, but give it a try, have a look around those sites and decide wether or not this is the right choice for u right now.
