@twi2ted93 sounds like the yellow wire on your cd player is connected to the battery, not the ignition.

ok i just put a new system in my 98 jeep… but the remote wire doesent work like its suppose to because if my key is off my cd player is still on. i know this isnt completely about the amp/sub but what is my prob?

you ddin’t explain nothing about the fuse amp? what should I fuse if my amplifier has 60 amp fuses on it? and when finishing installing everything I should put just the negative side cable to the battery when all install plug n hooked?

most new radios have a dedicated remote for amps so you dont have to cut any wirer from yor radio

yes and no.. it is possible. but you should never do it because amp draws much more power than the head-unit and therefore needs a thicker cable. if you have both wires meet at the head-unit you will draw the power for both units through one small wire. which i never a good idea. also the head-unit i hooked up to its own fuse in the fusebox and this fuse is not designed for taking the amount of power you need for a amp. therefore use a dedicated amp power cable and fusebox.

@normalicy Is it possible to connect the power wire(red) of amplifier straight to head unit’s power wire(red) instead of running it through firewall and connect direct to battery

@1q1q1q1q1q Do you always solder connections on your installs? The ground and fuse is actually set not to exceed 18″. However, you are right about all these know-it-all specialists posting what they think they know. In this case, he was not very specific, making this actual vid useless in the scheme of things.

this is random but how do you hook up rcas when theres only 2 outputs for r and l ? what do i do ? got a rockford amp and cant afford a new deck at the time . i mean 4 total out puts , 2 r’s and 2 l’s

@FreezEntertainment check your driver side wheel well, theres a panel in there that your battery is housed in. this is usually on these newer 08′ and up vehicles. they do that because heat is the killer of batteries, thats why its in an odd position of your car, its away from the rising engine heat.
