yes and no.. it is possible. but you should never do it because amp draws much more power than the head-unit and therefore needs a thicker cable. if you have both wires meet at the head-unit you will draw the power for both units through one small wire. which i never a good idea. also the head-unit i hooked up to its own fuse in the fusebox and this fuse is not designed for taking the amount of power you need for a amp. therefore use a dedicated amp power cable and fusebox. -

@1q1q1q1q1q Do you always solder connections on your installs? The ground and fuse is actually set not to exceed 18″. However, you are right about all these know-it-all specialists posting what they think they know. In this case, he was not very specific, making this actual vid useless in the scheme of things.

@FreezEntertainment check your driver side wheel well, theres a panel in there that your battery is housed in. this is usually on these newer 08′ and up vehicles. they do that because heat is the killer of batteries, thats why its in an odd position of your car, its away from the rising engine heat.
