Videos can be streamed in HD from here: ExposureRoom. Com Shot with a stock Canon HV30 no attachments. Shot in 60i edited with Sony Vegas 8Pro. I added, looking at the impact of the ‘saturation and brightness boost “, which gave the video a HDR (High Dynamic Range).

HDV just means that you’re recording HD on to miniDV tapes, that’s what it stands for: HD miniDV. The advantage of recording on a tape is that it is not compressed.

60i is default. If you don’t change the setting it will be in 60i.

yeah i’m sold already but i’ve seen some footage thats just fucking crazy good looking and its because they have lenses and adapters and i was wondering what they actually helped with…like image wise and stuff like that. I’m getting this camera in like 1 month. U recommend it then?

Trust me dude, you don’t need any adapters for this cam to look good. The macro you see is just from holding the camera really close to something then the cam automatically focuses on it.

what exactly does an adapter do…does it help with image or what? what about a lense? Plz help me I really want this camera and I also want it to look as good as possible…thx

I have not had that problem, If I was you I would try and send it back for a replacement. I know the camera has a 1 year manufacture warranty. I’m sure you can make a video this good, I just held the camera really close to the frogs and the hv30 took control after that with the macro. THen I just added some music on sony vegas 8 pro and villa. The HV30 is an awesome camera.

Hi Keenan, wow well done, great videos,hope I can get somthing half as good. Just got my HV30 and the cassette door dosnt quite fully close onto the camara body, only by half a milimeter but its enough 4 it to rattle/click with any hand movement, a self adehsive foam pad 4 the door to close onto wud solve the problem, but aving spent £620 im not sure wether 2 send it back, have u had any problem with urs- Thanks Alan Peterborough uk
