As prepaid cell phones to buy abroad in Frankfurt?
I am traveling to Germany this weekend to spend my spring break with a friend who lives there, and fly to and from Frankfurt-Main airport. What I wondered, would it be possible for a cheap phone (Nokia Now think of those tiny block in the early 00s) and a plan for pre-paid dearly for them? In addition, nobody knows what I have to pay the price, and precisely one of locations throughout the airport in question? I could also try the cheapo phone on the way back?

Return the phone/SIM? No.
You can find prepaid SIMcards all over the place, looking out for the D1, D2 and O2 (being most prominent) signs. You will also find Vodafone stores all over including at the airport. The cheap phones you get with, will be simlocked to that network. Also be prepared to show ID often with a proof of residence when buying. If purchasing just a SIMcard you can think of bringing a compatible phone with you to cut costs.
The German O2 and Vodafone websites will have some packages for you to look at which will include rates and model info.

There are some second hand shops around the train station where you could buy old second hand phones for low price and sell it back, but the money you can expect is likely to be really low. You would be better off buying a second cell phone without SIM-lock, then you will be able to use the same phone during your travels around the world, with local prepaid cards. Cheap prepaid plans come from all operators, especially O2 and Vodafone.

If your phone has a SIM card, you can buy a prepaid SIM card at a phone store there.
