This is my first DSLR, I stepped out of the canon SD750. I am so happy with the Canon Rebel XSi. All manual functions and adjustments are ideal for intermediate / advanced photographers. For those familiar with CHDK for Canon cameras, I added that my SD750. Even with the manual features unlockable with CHDK, a solid DSLR blows away a point-and-shoot.
